Somatic Movement Education at ODC in SF

• Title: Embodied Narratives through Movement Exploration

  • Description: This class invites participants to explore the intersection of narrative and movement, drawing from Somatic Psychology and Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analysis. Through structured improvisation and guided activities, participants will learn to transform personal stories and implicit memories into movement expression. The session begins with a simple movement activity and evolves into a phrase, encouraging participants to explore emotional narratives through movement exploration. This approach supports the creation of meaningful works that reflect individual and collective stories.
